Scott has lived in Charlottesville since 1989 and earned his B.A. from Longwood University in 1997. He has been involved in many facets of residential real estate and development industry in Charlottesville since 1998, including commercial & residential property management, subdivision development & real estate sales, and has held his real estate license since 1999 (his license is currently being held with Long & Foster in Charlottesville, VA). Scott holds a Virginia Class A Contractors License with Building designation, and holds the Aging in Place designation from the National Association of Home Builders. Most recently, Scott completed the Earth Craft Certification Program for Green Building in 2008, and also earned his certification with the Environmental Protection Agency as a ‘Certified Remodeler’ in 2010. Over the years, he has personally served as a project manager and/or site superintendent for over 25 large scale projects, including his most recent involvement with the 25 unit assisted living facility project as Phase I of RoseWood Village at Wintergreen, located in Nellysford, Virginia.
Scott was a founding partner in Dwell General Contracting in 2006, that would later evolve into Evergreen Real Estate and Construction in 2009. He remained a partner at Evergreen until incorporating his own company, Abbott & Company General Contractors, in the beginning of 2012.
